Tradition of horse breeding and rider training

The husband and wife team of Miloslav and Jana Perníčkovi purchased this farmstead, or rather half of it, in 1991 and started building a modern farm for horse breeding and agrotourism. Without electricity, with kerosene lamps, but already then with the vision of a family equestrian center providing quality facilities for horse breeding and training riders.

Thanks to the owners’ enthusiasm and hard work, the first equestrian competitions were held here as early as 1993 and in the summer of the same year the first children came to the horse camps in Heroutice – nowadays many children of these children are registered for the camps.

In 2000, the Heroutice Farm was at the very foundation of pony sport in the Czech Republic, when the first meeting of pony riding fans took place here.

Thanks to the efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Perníček, a number of sporting and breeding events took place here in the following years – e.g. international show jumping competitions for ponies, children and juniors, pre-selection of stallions for breeding and the final competitions of the Pony League, Pony Extraliga and Teenager series were also unforgettable.

A very important award for the farm was the second place in the Farm of the Year 2019 competition organized by the Association of Private Agriculture of the Czech Republic, where the farm was nominated by the Association of Horse Breeders of the Czech Republic. This award was a great reward for the four-generation family staff of the farm at that time. It was also a great motivation for further activities associated with the same vision as at the beginning – providing the best possible services in the field of horsemanship, care and friendly approach for the accommodated clients and participants of the most diverse events. And in all this, not to lose the family spirit of the farm.
