History of the farm
The rich history of Heroutice Farm, located in a secluded area under a forest in a picturesque setting near the Slap Dam, dates back to the reign of Charles IV, when a strategic knight’s fortress was built here.
Later, after the Thirty Years’ War, the fortress became a farm building. During the Second World War, it was demolished and occupied by the Germans and served as a training ground for SS troops.
Then, in a somewhat unfortunate split in two, the work of destruction was completed by socialist farming.

Pernicek family
The farmstead, marked by the ravages of time and many years of neglect, attracted the attention of horse lovers, the Perníček family, who bought half of it in 1991 together with several hectares of land, and seven years later managed to buy the whole property.
Fortunately, both spouses come from farming families, Mr. Perníček worked for years as a zootechnician in the Neveklov cooperative, so they started farming the first seven of the current 45 hectares of surrounding land, focused on poultry fattening and dairy cattle breeding, and there were also four horses.
